City Council

The City of Greeley operates with a Council-Manager form of government. There are a total of seven elected officials on the Council including the Mayor.

The Council meets annually to evaluate the state of the City. Based on data, discussions with staff, and public input, the Council sets priorities which guide Greeley City government for the upcoming year. The current priorities are available for you to review. The City Manager's 2008 Work Program highlights major work activity assigned to City staff in order to accomplish the council's current priorities.

In addition the City Council meets every Tuesday in an 'open to the public forum':
  • Council Meetings: These public meetings are held at 6:30 p.m., the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of every month, in the Council Chambers of the Lincoln Park Annex Building at 919 7th Street.  These meetings are also broadcast live and rebroadcast on the City's government access channel, GTV8.  Comcast Cable TV subscribers in Greeley, Evans and LaSalle can tune in to see these meetings.
  • Council Worksessions: These public meetings are typically held at 6:00 p.m. on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of every month, in the Council Chambers of the Lincoln Park Annex Building at 919 7th Street.
  • Have input on your community by voicing ideas and opinions at City Council meetings and Town Meetings.

To verify the date, time, and location of the meeting you are interested in, please review the City Council Agenda specific to the date. Click here to view the list of current agendas & minutes.

Council members are residents of Greeley who care deeply about their city and choose to serve their community as an elected official to maintain and improve Greeley's quality of life. Council members, with the exception of the Mayor, do not have offices at City Hall.
