City of Greeley & Ace Hardware Teaming Up to
Keep Yard Waste Out of the
The City of Greeley and local Ace Hardware owners Rick and Kristi Thomas are
teaming up to support a cleaner environment through better yard waste clean-up
this fall. Starting today and while supplies last, Ace Hardware of Greeley
stores, located at 2626 11th Avenue and 3540 10th St., will be giving consumers
one FREE 5-pack of 30-gallon compostable paper yard waste bags.
The Greeley Organic Waste Facility (GROW) will accept those five bags, filled
with leaves, at no cost. The partnership is in support of the City’s efforts to
keep yard waste out of the landfill, which according to the Environmental
Protection Agency can account for up to 18 percent of the average landfill
