To develop, maintain and support an effective enterprise geographic information system through the coordination of effective solutions and cooperative partnerships between the City of Greeley staff, citizens, and with other agencies.
Goals
- Develop and promote the standards and infrastructure that support GIS reliability, quality, and performance for the city.
- Provide GIS services that reduce cost and add value to the way the city departments do business.
- Increase GIS data reliability, quality, timeliness and accuracy levels.
- Provide wider deployment of GIS within the city based on an enterprise level phased GIS implementation plan.

The GIS Program is pleased to announce the public release of our second addition to the online dynamic mapping application, ORIGIN ©. Use the link above to access the new application. This first release of our ORIGIN tools is directed at property information, by providing the user intuitive tools to find a property, identify owner, access Weld County Assessor information, and view service information like school attendance areas, voting wards, and fire response areas. The second tool is associated to the location and identification of interments at Linn Grove Cemetery. ORIGIN is built to be fast and visually rich in its interactive environment so we hope you enjoy using this tool. This is a set of 6 panels that run from the confluence of the Poudre River and the South Platte, west to just about 83rd Ave. Please note that this information is still under review by FEMA and has not yet been adopted by the agency. The City of Greeley does consider this the best available information for the area. |
The City has a couple of interactive maps based on the Google API. These applications are being updated to so that the information appears in the ORIGIN applications. At the moment these maps are Google based, so will find that within the map the navigation tools are available in the upper left corner or by clicking on the list on the left.
