Subject: 2013 Poudre River Trail-athlon
The 3rd annual Poudre River Trail-athlon will take place on Saturday, May 11th at the Poudre Learning Center in Greeley, CO. This free community event runs from 9 a.m. to noon and includes fun activities for all ages.
The event allows participants to explore the trail in new ways, learn about what the Poudre Learning Center has to offer, and simply enjoy a fun filled morning outside. Participants must complete at least 3 of the 9 stations to receive a free goodie bag. The stations include a 5-mile bike ride, a climbing wall, bird watching, a 1 mile walk, painting and chalk art, a dog jog, a fun run, a scavenger hunt, and golf cart rides.
New to the event in 2013 will be the Rocky Mountain Raptor Program, a Bike Rodeo, as well as additional educational booths. The Raptor Program will have rescued raptors that can be seen along the Poudre River corridor to view and learn about. Prizes, snacks, music, and other fun activities are also part of the event. Generous local sponsors make this free event possible.
