Subject: Lawn Installation Workshop – May 22
The City of Greeley Water Conservation Program and the High-Plains Library District are working together to present The Landscaping in the 21st Century Series this summer. Monthly programs are held on Wednesday evenings between 6:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at the Farr Regional Library at 1939 61st Avenue. You can also watch a live stream of the session at the Erie Community Library, 400 Powers Street in Erie. Ruth Quade, Greeley’s Water Conservation Coordinator, will present at each of these events. All of the workshops are free and open to the public.
The first workshop, taking place on May 22, is about lawn installation. The presentation will cover making initial decisions on your new lawn, choosing a turf grass that fits your needs, seed verses sod and design considerations. Also featured will be how to install the lawn for maximum success and minimal water. The final segment of the presentation will be on how to properly water and maintain your new grass.
The upcoming workshops in the series include:
• June 26: Xeriscaping Workshop
• July 24: Landscaping and Design Workshop
• August 28: Composting Workshop
