ROCKIES BASEBALL SKILLS CHALLENGE WINNERS ADVANCE TO SECTIONALS
The City of Greeley’s Culture, Parks, and Recreation Department hosted the Colorado Rockies/CPRA Baseball Skills Challenge on June 8 at Twin Rivers Ball Field located at the Family FunPlex in Greeley. Nearly forty youth participated in the event from all over Northern Colorado on Saturday and eight of them will be advancing to sectionals this July in Erie. The event, open to boys and girls age 6-13 years, tests skills in base running, batting and throwing.
Sectionals will be held Monday, July 29 from 6-9pm at The Ballpark at Erie, located at 450 Powers Street, Erie, CO 80516. The following athletes will be attending the event after taking First Place at the Skills Challenge in Greeley: Age 6/7 years – Cash Rinker of Eaton & Evelyn Swank of Greeley; Age 8/9 years – Justin Lovato of Greeley & Jayden Kuske of Eaton; Age 10/11 years – Parker Disparti of Greeley & Brooke Bohlender of Fort Collins; Age 12/13 years – Abel Pinon of Greeley & Bailey Bohlender of Fort Collins.
