Discover Weld County Western Heritage at Centennial Village Museum during the Greeley Stampede. Visitors can experience all museum activities with admission into the Stampede. Centennial Village, located at the south end of Island Grove Park, will be open additional days and hours from June 27 through July 7 to correspond with Stampede hours. Entering the Stampede through Centennial Village’s northeast gate on 14th Ave. allows visitors to join in exciting living history activities and stroll through the beautifully landscaped grounds.
Centennial Village will be open to the public from 4 pm - 8 pm Monday through Friday, 11 am – 8 pm Saturday and Sunday.
During the weekdays, visitors can experience demonstrations such as a Frontier Kiln Firing, the Print Shop, and a new exhibit at Rattlesnake Kate’s house featuring live reptiles. The weekends are full of even more fun with Blacksmithing demonstrations, gunfight shows on Saturdays and making corn husk dolls.
The Greeley Museums’ Centennial Stagecoach will also be in the 2013 Greeley Stampede Independence Day Parade, Thursday, July 4th. The parade will be in Downtown Greeley, beginning at 9 a.m. and runs north on 10th Avenue starting at 19th Street and ending at 5th Street.
