Subject:  2013 Greeley Garden Tour – June 22

The twentieth annual Greeley Garden Tour is on Saturday, June 22 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The self-guided tour stops at several outstanding gardens around Greeley. The tour highlights some of the best gardens in the area and provides ideas for people to integrate into their own landscapes. Garden tour volunteers and property owners will be at each stop to guide visitors through each incredible garden. The guides will provide additional information on the plants and landscape. In addition to the gardens, there will be live music, artists painting in the gardens, and a fairy garden demonstration from Pope Farms.

One of the stops on this year’s tour is Greeley Xeriscape Garden at 2503 Reservoir Road. This Xeric demonstration garden was designed on this ¾ acre site in 1997 to show homeowners the variety of plants and techniques that they could try in their yards. The garden is home to two public art pieces, 25 trees species and four different turf grasses, and numerous shrubs and perennials.

Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at:
