HIGHLAND HILLS GOLF COURSE JUNIOR GOLF PROGRAM GETS RAVE REVIEWS
Highland Hills Junior Golf Program, part of the Culture, Parks, and Recreation Department, kicked off in June and has had great success and positive feedback from participants and parents. The program which offers golf lessons for ages 5-17 began in June with an emphasis on learning the sport, safety, etiquette and fun. Every class ran and there were several children so enthusiastic about the program that they’ve signed up for the next course. Classes are now forming for the July session, space is still available if your child would like to learn a new sport or improve their skills.
There are three levels of the program offered. The beginning level is broken down into age 5-9 year olds known as Pee-Wee and 10-17 year olds known at Par. In this class kids learn the basic method of golf; they play games and win prizes, to ensure they are learning in a fun environment. The second level is known as Birdie which expands their knowledge and refines their technique. Clubs are provided if needed for the first and second level student. The third level known as Eagle is directed towards kids who have prior golf experience and a good knowledge of the rules and etiquette. The majority of class time is spent on the golf course. All third level participants must have their own set of clubs. July classes begin the week of July 8, call 970.330.7327 to register or for more information check them out at facebook.com/hhjga or email the pros for details at firstname.lastname@example.org
