Pets ‘n’ Popsicles at the Plumb Farm Learning Center
Pets ‘n’ Popsicles returns to the Plumb Farm with dozens of furry farm animals.  From August 5 – 18, a variety of domestic animals will be visiting the farm, such as goats, horses, pigs, sheep, ponies and rabbits. The event is open 10 am – 2 pm daily for the whole 2 weeks. Admission is $2 for ages two and older.
Many of the animals this year are on loan from members of the FFA, an agriculture education organization, at Greeley West High School through an agreement between the school district and city. Ponies and horses arrive on weekends for youngsters to ride around the farm for an additional cost of $1 per person.
Staff and volunteers will be on hand to answer questions and ensure the safety of visitors and the animals. Families can enjoy lunch in the shade, play historic games and ride on stick animals. A free popsicle is included with every admission.
Restrooms, picnic tables and hand cleaning areas will be available as well as on-street parking along 39th Ave. Visitors are advised to allow at least an hour for their visit. Groups of 10 or more please reserve your time-slot by calling 970-350-9220. Walk-in visitors are welcome.
The Plumb Farm is a Colorado Centennial Farm – owned by the same family for over a hundred years. It is located at 39th Ave. and 10th St., just across from the 10th Street post office.
For more information visit or call 970-350-9220.
