RODARTE BOXING OPEN HOUSE THIS SATURDAY
The Rodarte Community Center, part of the City of Greeley’s Culture, Parks, and Recreation Department, is holding an open house on Saturday, July 27 from 1-5pm for the public to learn abou their Boxing Program and introduce the new boxing coaches. There will be instructional boxing techniques offered, a meet and greet and refreshments. Boxing has been a key component of the youth and adult programming at the Rodarte Community Center for years. Their program has lead several boxers to national recognition who competed in the 2012 USA Boxing National Championships.
           
The Rodarte Boxing program teaches the basic techniques of boxing. Registration is held monthly and costs only $15 for youth and $25 for adults. Participants must bring their own mouthpiece, which can be purchased at the Rodarte Community Center, a water bottle, hand wraps and towel to participate. The youth program is geared towards ages 8-16 years old. All competitive boxers must also have USA Boxing Insurance which is $55 annually. Participants will train Monday-Thursday from 5-7pm in one of Northern Colorado’s best boxing facilities.
