Subject:  Linn Grove Cemetery Free Historical Walking Tour

The Northeastern Colorado Heritage League, in conjunction with Linn Grove Cemetery, invites the public to a free historical walking tour of Linn Grove Cemetery on Saturday, August 10, 2013, at 8:30 a.m.  The tour will begin at the cemetery office located north of the Bell Tower near the northwest corner of the cemetery.
This 2 to 2 1/2 hour walking tour touches on stories of a number of individuals interred at Linn Grove, both famous and infamous in the rich history of Weld County, Union Colony, Greeley, and the State of Colorado with many dating back to the 1870s.  These stories are told through engaging speakers from the Northeastern Colorado Heritage League.
Additional tours will be announced throughout the summer and fall.  Facilities are available during tour times.  Sunscreen, mosquito spray, water bottle, and thirst for local history recommended.  Linn Grove Cemetery address is 1700 Cedar Avenue, Greeley, Co. 80631
