BECOME A VOLUNTEER AT THE UNION COLONY CIVIC CENTER WITH TRAINING SESSION AUGUST 31
The Union Colony Civic Center in Greeley’s annual volunteer training day is Saturday, August 31, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the Hensel Phelps Theatre at the Union Colony Civic Center.
There is no need to call for reservations, just show up ready for a great season. The training will consist of a PowerPoint presentation, question and answer period, and a tour of the facilities at the UCCC. All necessary paperwork and applications will be provided at the training.
In order to be a volunteer, a person must be 14 years of age or older. If a prospective volunteer is under 18 then a parental guardian must sign consent for them to volunteer at the UCCC. All volunteers must attend one training class each calendar year. Classes are held in February and August.
The UCCC breaks shows into two categories for volunteers: purple and gold. Volunteers must work a minimum of two purple shows per gold show. What classifies shows to be in the purple or gold category will be explained at the training session.
A benefit, or perk, of being a volunteer at the Union Colony Civic Center is the ability to see shows while volunteering for that show. Volunteering at the UCCC is a way to serve the community, make friends, and see great shows!
The Union Colony Civic Center is located at 701 10th Avenue in downtown Greeley. The UCCC is proudly owned and operated by the City of Greeley. Parking for the training session is available in the lot on the south side of the UCCC, along 10th Avenue as well as 7th Street, or in the parking lots located in front of the library and court house.
