Subject:  2013 Free Walking Tour: Alles Acres Neighborhood

The Greeley Historic Preservation Commission invites the public to the final 2013 walking tour, a tour about the Alles Acres Neighborhood on Monday, September 16, 2013, at 5:30 p.m.  The tour will begin at the Jackson Elementary School parking lot at 2002 25th Street.  Participants are encouraged to share stories of the neighborhood, and Greeley Historic Preservation Specialist Betsy Kellums will share about history and architecture in the neighborhood.  Call 350.9222 to check accessibility.  The event is free and open to the public.

The walking tours provide citizens with a chance to hear about and see interesting sites with historical and cultural significance to Greeley.  The 2013 walking tours focused on the University District neighborhoods, and the Historic Preservation Commission invites the public to share stories and memories of the neighborhoods on the tours and learn about the University District and the oral history project.
For more information, please contact Betsy Kellums in the Historic Preservation Office at betsy.kellums@greeleygov.com or 970.350.9222.
