COLORADO RAPIDS RESCHEDULE VISIT TO RODARTE COMMUNITY CENTER
The partnership between the Rodarte Community Center, part of the Culture, Parks, and Recreation Department, Noble Energy and the Colorado Rapids will kick off this fall with two upcoming events. Four Colorado Rapids players will be hosting a clinic for the Rodarte Community Center’s After-School Program attendees on Friday, October 11 — instead of Monday, October 7 (as originally planned) due to a scheduling conflict.
The Noble Energy soccer clinic for the Rodarte Community Center’s After-School Tutoring/Fun Club will be held from 4:30-5:30pm next Friday. Players will be offering a half hour of drills and then a mini scrimmage with the kids and players. The clinic will focus on 50-80 kids currently enrolled in 3rd-5th grade. The Rodarte Community Center’s After-School Program is a partnership between the Youth Enrichment Program and Weld County School District 6 and includes students from local schools.
The second event, also sponsored by Noble Energy, will be an opportunity for Northridge High School’s soccer program to take part in the Colorado Rapid’s Kicks 4 Kids Program at the October 19 game in Denver. The school will be receiving 50 tickets to hand out to students. Northridge HS is part of the 21st Century Grant Program known as the “Summit.” Discount tickets will be available to additional athletes to attend if interested. Northridge students will be announced on the Jumbotron either before the game or at halftime. All students receiving a ‘Kicks 4 Kids’ ticket will also receive a voucher for concession food as well. Noble Energy is underwriting the cost of the Colorado Rapids tickets for the students and will be providing some gear for them to wear at the game.
The Rodarte Community Center is located at 920 A. Street in Greeley. For more information about the collaboration between Noble Energy and the Colorado Rapids, contact C.J. Archibeque at the Rodarte Community Center 970.350.9430.
