Colorado's Great Outdoors Exhibit at The Tointon Gallery
This year commemorates the Union Colony Civic Center and Tointon Gallery 25th Anniversary with John Fielder’s exhibition of exquisite Colorado landscape photography. His framed prints will be on display and for sale in the Tointon Gallery from Oct. 19 through Dec. 14.
“John Fielder has worked tirelessly to promote the protection of Colorado’s ranches, open spaces, and wild lands during his 30-year career as a nature photographer. Over 40 books have been published depicting his Colorado photography,” per Fielder’s website. Many of his photos in the exhibit depict nature scenes in Weld County, including the Poudre River Trail.
On Saturday, Oct. 19 visitors have chance to meet and talk with the photographer at the artist reception from 5 – 7 pm. The same evening his photographic slide show will be shown during the Greeley Philharmonic Orchestra’s performance 7:30 pm at the Union Colony Civic Center. The concert, entitled Tour of Eastern Europe, will be conducted by Glen Cortese, featuring violist Desiree Elsevier. Fielder will also be signing books and prints for sale during the concert.
The Tointon Gallery is located in the Greeley Downtown Recreation Center at 651 10th Ave. The Gallery is open Monday through Saturday from 9 am – 5 pm, and during performances in the Monfort Concert Hall. Gallery admission is free. For more information contact Kim Snyder at 970-350-9450 or visit www.greeleyart.com
