Subject: 2013 Free History Brown Bag Series about Greeley History: Final Presentation
The Greeley Historic Preservation Commission completes the free 2013 History Brown Bag Series held on the 4th Thursday of each month from February through October, 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. The next Brown Bag will be on Thursday, October 24th at the Greeley History Museum Community Room, 714 8th Street, at which Greeley Museum Staff Member Scott Chartier will speak about the 7th Army Air Corps, also known as the 7th Air Force, which served in the Pacific during World War II. His presentation will include first person portrayal, artifacts and discussion about the United States involvement in the Pacific during World War II.
This series provides citizens the chance to hear interesting historical topics, primarily focused on Greeley and Weld County, and it promotes local cultural heritage. “Discover history, architecture, great characters, culture and more at the History Brown Bag series,” encouraged Historic Preservation Commission Chair Becky Brunswig.
This presentation rounds out the 2013 History Brown Bag series. Please call the Historic Preservation Office if you have ideas for future History Brown Bag talks or if you have a history presentation you would like to discuss and potentially present.
