Subject: 2014 SCULPTURE ON LOAN APPLICATIONS AVAILABLE
The Greeley Art Commission is now accepting applications for the 2014 Sculpture on Loan program. Each year, the Commission solicits art to be displayed for one year in public areas and community parks.
The Art Commission currently has fifteen Sculpture on Loan pieces on exhibit throughout Historic Downtown Greeley and its beautiful parks. As part of the program artists that are chosen to participate in the year-long loan program receive a $700 honorarium, the City publicizes and provides insurance for each piece, and the City Parks department assists the artist with installation.
Deadline for submission is Friday, Nov 15. Winning artists will be notified after Dec 18. Each artist may enter up to three images of outdoor sculpture for consideration. Suggested height is 4’ or more. Fragile, dangerous or inappropriate work will not be considered.
The Greeley area consists of a viewing population of nearly 100,000. It is Greeley’s honor to display these sculptures so that the public may enjoy the artists’ talents and purchase accordingly.
To download an application go online to greeleyart.com, then go to the Sculpture on Loan section and click on the 2014 Application. Artists can also apply online at CallForEntry.org an online artist registry.
