Subject: Free CPR/AED Classes for November
The City of Greeley Heart Safe City Project and Greeley Fire Department will be offering free American Heart Association, Family & Friends CPR training to the citizens of Greeley and the Western Hills Fire Protection District. This is a short non-certified course to teach Greeley citizens CPR and understand the use of an Automated External Defibrillator or AED. The course is approximately a 1 ½ hour in length.
Studies show that if people do not receive CPR within 3 minutes and defibrillation within 5 minutes, their odds of survival drop dramatically. That’s why the Heart Safe City Project was created to train as many people as possible in CPR and getting as many AEDs as possible in public places.
Classes will be held:
• Saturday, November 9th at 9:00 a.m. at the Greeley Fire Department, Station #1, 919 7th Street, Nusbaum Training Room.
• Saturday, November 23rd at 9:00 a.m. at the Greeley Fire Department, Station #1, 919 7th Street, Nusbaum Training Room
These 2 classes are made possible from a generous donation by the NCMC Foundation.
To sign up please call the Greeley Fire Department at (970) 350-9508 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
. Please include your name and phone number and selected date. This is a first-come first-serve sign-up with a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 24 per class.
Donations to the Heart Safe City initiative are welcome. The Initiative is also looking for business partners to assist with funding this valuable, lifesaving knowledge for the community.
