Subject:  Greeley City Manager Makes Government Info Available
 
During this past election season, Greeley City Manager Roy Otto received several questions from residents about the city manager retention vote in Greeley. After discussions with these residents, he realized that the public lacked information about the job of a city manager.
 
In order to provide information for residents about the role of a city manager, he is encouraging residents to visit the City’s website, www.greeleygov.com and use the Life. Well Run link on the homepage to learn more about local government and a city manager’s responsibilities. Links are provided to a webpage and short video.
 
These resources are provided by the International City/County Management Association (ICMA) via their new program called Life. Well Run.
 
ICMA is an organization that credentials city managers to help assure that they have the skills to run a city.  ICMA credentialing requires applicants to go through extensive training to ultimately be qualified to serve as a city government leader.
