Subject: Greeley’s Water Conservation Rebates Save Water and Money
Greeley offers water conservation rebates to residential and commercial water customers. For products purchased within the last 90-days of 2013, there is still a little time to apply for a rebate.
After January 14, 2014, the 2013 program ends and only products purchased in 2014 will be eligible for a rebate.
The items rebated for indoor use include low-flow toilets, high-efficiency clothes washers, and a variety of products for commercial customers. Complete details on the program and application materials are available online, www.greeleygov.com/rebates
. Outdoor rebates for sprinkler system components are also available after customers receive an irrigation audit, signup now to receive an audit in the spring or summer.
The US Environmental Protection Agency estimates that a family of four that replaces its home's older toilets with WaterSense labeled models will, on average, save more than $90 per year in reduced water utility bills, and $2,000 over the lifetime of the toilets. Look for the EPA WaterSense label when purchasing a low-water use and high-performance toilet.
