Subject: Citizens’ Police Academy
The Greeley Police Department is pleased to announce that we are seeking applicants for our 2014 Citizens’ Police Academy.
The Academy is designed to provide the Greeley community with an overview of the Department’s operations and to increase the level of cooperation and understanding between citizens and officers. Topics will include: Patrol Operations, Traffic Enforcement, Police Records, Communications, SWAT/Bombs, K9, Drug Task Force, and more.
The class will meet from 6 P.M. to 9 P.M. on Thursday nights beginning March 20, 2014, and continuing through May 29, 2014.
The Academy classes will be held primarily in the Kent Donahue Community Room at the Greeley Police Department, 2875 W. 10th St, Greeley, CO 80634. One class will be held at Police Records and the Weld County Regional Communications Center and one at the police firing range.
There is no cost to attend the Academy. The class size will be limited to 25 participants who must be at least 18 years of age and who live, work, or own property in the City of Greeley.
