Call for Nominations for 2014 Historic Preservation Month Awards

Subject:  Call for Nominations for 2014 Historic Preservation Month Awards
The Greeley Historic Preservation Commission invites the public to nominate people or projects for Historic Preservation Month Awards to celebrate historic preservation efforts in Greeley.  With the awards, the Commission recognizes individuals, organizations, and design professionals/contractors who have significantly furthered preservation efforts and achievements in Greeley. 
The award guidelines and nomination form document is available on the City of Greeley Historic Preservation website, and from the Historic Preservation Office, 970.350.9222.  Nominations should be submitted to the Historic Preservation Office, 1100 10th Street, Suite 201, Greeley, CO 80631 or to by 12:00 p.m. on Friday, April 11, 2014.  The Historic Preservation Commission will vote on the nominations and make presentations at the Historic Preservation Month reception on Sunday, May 18th at the Plumb Farm, 955 39th Avenue from 1 – 3 p.m.  The reception will be free and open to the public.
Award winners in May 2013 included Jim Emmett for his extensive contributions to preservation in Greeley and work on building rehabilitations; Gordon Jantz, Choice Builders for outstanding contracting work on historic buildings; and ABC Child Development Centers for rehabilitation and reuse of the East Ward School Building.
