Subject: ICE HAUS FIGURE SKATER PLACES AT DENVER INVITATIONAL

One of Greeley’s own, Rieley Grimes, takes first place at Denver Invitational March 15 & 16. Grimes is an ice skater at the Greeley Ice Haus and is currently enrolled in their Freeskate 3/4 class that meets on Saturday mornings. Grimes has been skating for 2 years and this was her 4th time competing.
 
Grimes is also taking private lessons from Kayla Fauria, one of the Ice Haus figure skating coaches.
They meet on a weekly basis to go over technique, routines, etc. During the Denver Invitational, Grimes received 1st place in the Freeskate 3 Program with Music and 4th place in Compulsory. Grimes showed off her medals at the Ice Haus in Greeley when she returned from the competition. The Denver Invitational began on Thursday, March 13 and culminated on Sunday, March 16 in Centennial, Colorado.
 
Grimes is a home school student from Greeley that enjoys figure skating and intends to continue training at the Greeley Ice Haus. She’s looking forward to honing her skills and perhaps competing again in the Front Range Invitational that will be held at the Ice Haus in June.
