Greeley Police Investigate and Locate Four Missing Girls

The Greeley Police Department has been investigating the disappearance of four girls reported missing at approximately 6:30 p.m. yesterday evening. All four girls were located together and have been reunited with family members.

The four girls, ages 12, 10, 6 and 5, live in the same apartment complex in the 1900 block of 2nd St. The older girls were babysitting the younger girls when they left the 10 year old’s apartment to go to the 12 year old’s apartment. They never arrived. Witnesses reported seeing all the girls walking together, but alone, away from the complex at about this time. Police were contacted after the children had not been seen or heard from for approximately 30 minutes.

Investigators were called to the scene, and the search for the children began. Numerous acquaintances, friends and school contacts were interviewed. Leads were developed and the children were eventually located at an apartment in the 1200 block of 8th St. The girls were found in the company of two adult males.

Police arrested the male parties, and the girls were reunited with family members. The investigation of this case and interviews with those involved are ongoing, and charges are pending. At this time, the release of the names of those involved is being withheld, pending additional investigation to determine their exact roles in this situation.
