2012 FATHER/DAUGHTER DANCE

Fathers and Daughters of all ages are welcome - even Grandpas and Granddaughters! Don’t miss this unique opportunity to spend an evening with your favorite girl. Dream Builders GED
Leadership Initiative
The City of Greeley continues to assist youth in Greeley by offering a range of healthy activities for brain and body. A relatively new program has been initiated at the Rodarte Community Center through Dream Builders. The program is a GED preparation course focusing on math, history, civics, language arts and science. Find our more about it, check out the Recreation Blog Page.

New Concussion Training for all Voluteer Coaches - Senate Bill 40 Goes into Affect January 2012. Recently, the State Senate approved a new bill aimed at preventing young athletes from returning to a game after a head injury unless they've received medical clearance. SPRING SOCCER
Coaches Priority Registration January 16-19
General Registration begins
Saturday, January 21-27 at 8:30am

All registration is on a first come, first served basis. Shinguards and soccer or tennis shoes are required. Shinguards must be completely covered by socks. No jewelry allowed. Ages will be determined based on a child’s age as of May 12, 2012. A birth certificate is required! Mighty Mite practice begins March 12; games begin March 31. Fee $40 resident, $50 non-resident. Young America practice begins March 5, games begin March 24. Fee $53 resident, $63 non-resident.


YOUTH VOLLEYBALL
Coaches Priority Registration January 24-26
General Registration begins Monday, February 6-23 at 6am

Learn the fundamentals of volleyball while having a lot of fun! Parents note: League play depends on an adequate number of volunteer coaches to meet the needs of the players registered. Practice begins March 12, games begin March 24. Grades 4th-8th. Age 9-14 yrs. Fee $53 resident, $63 non-resident.

NORTHERN COLORADO ACADEMY OF DANCE

YOUTH RECREATIONAL HOCKEY
Registration deadline February 21
Coaches teach fundamentals, team play, sportsmanship and FUN! 7 week program with 7 games & 7 practices. Games played on Sunday afternoons. Fee $53 resident, $63 non-resident. Uniform not included. Equipment may be rented if the City has your child’s size. Otherwise starter sets may be purchased through the Hockey Haus Pro-Shop.

MIDDLE SCHOOL HOCKEY
Registration January 24-Feb 23

This is a Youth Hockey League for Greeley Middle Schools (6th, 7th & 8th Grades) Practices and games will be held at the Greeley Ice Haus. Students may sign up per school and teams will be put together randomly to try and keep them equal in ability and size. Practice begins the week of March 5. Games begin the week of March 12-May 5. Fee $95 Participants must provide their own equipment: helmet w/face mask, mouth guard, shoulder pads, elbow pads, hockey gloves and pants, shin guards, jock strap & cup, skates & stick.

HOCKEY CUB PROGRAM
Registration January 23-February 26

Cub 1-5 hockey levels represent a technical progression from beginning to advanced skills in which the mastery of skills at one level will provide the building blocks for the mastery of the skills at the next level. Each skill level will be taught by professional coaches. This is a 7 week program meant to parallel the Youth Recreational Hockey Program and travel programs. Fee $53 resident, $63 non-resident.

WING CHUN

Wing Chun is a Kung Fu system that is suited for people all sizes and age. Learn how to protect yourself against an attacker who may be physically bigger and stronger than you. Training in Wing Chun will not only give you the ability to defend yourself, but will improve your reflexes and coordination. Fee $55.

5 ON 5 FLAG FOOTBALL

50+ SOFTBALL PRE-SEASON MEETING

Learn about playing in our 50+ Softball league. Adults age 50 or better by December 31, 2012 are eligible. Free.

50+ SOFTBALL INDOOR/OUTDOOR PRESEASON TRAINING

Session runs February 7-March 29

Start conditioning your arm, body and mind for the upcoming softball season. Get to know other players and work on fielding and throwing while indoors and hitting when we move outside. All indoor activities require the use of a softstitch softball. Free.
