THANKSGIVING WEEKEND HOURS & HOLIDAY EVENTS

November 26, 2014 ( Greeley, CO) – All Recreation facilities will be closed on Thursday, November 27 for the Thanksgiving holiday. Join us at the FunPlex and Greeley Ice Haus on Friday & Saturday for some great holiday events! The Greeley Recreation Center, Greeley Senior Activity Center, and the Rodarte Community Center will be closed on Friday, November 28, the day after Thanksgiving as well. Read more...

NFL’S PUNT, PASS & KICK EVENT IN GREELEY SHOWS LOCAL TALENT

October 1, 2014 – (Greeley, CO) – The National Football League’s Punt, Pass and Kick event was hostedby the City of Greeley’s Culture, Parks, and Recreation Department on Saturday, September 27 at Monfort Parkfrom 9am-1pm. There was a record number that turned out in Greeley last weekend; the event saw 94 girls andboys compete against each other in punting, passing and place-kicking. Nine of those that participated earned firstplace honors and will move on to Sectionals that will be held in Fort Collins on October 26th. They could qualifyfor the Team Championships competition to be held at Invesco Field at Mile High when the Denver Broncos playthe Buffalo Bills. Read more...

GREELEY SKATERS RAKE IN THE MEDALS AT ROCKY MOUNTAIN STATE GAMES

September 22, 2014 (Greeley, CO) – A total of nine figure skaters from Mountain View Skating Club, who call their home the Greeley Ice Haus, competed at the Rocky Mountain State Games held in Colorado Springs at the Sertich Ice Arena September 13 & 14. Their hard work paid off as they mastered specific jumps and spins and took home one of the most prestigious awards. Mountain View Skating Club received 2nd place overall in the State of Colorado for its total team points within the Basic Skills Series. “Figure skaters who place first through third in their level and event now qualify for the State Games of America which will be held next July-August in Lincoln, Nebraska” said Kristin Conroy, Mountain View Skating Club Director.
