The goal of the City is to work with hotel and apartment managers to protect residents, guests and workers from exposure to criminal activity, including methamphetamine manufacturing, through an expanded partnership between law enforcement and apartment owners.
We accomplish these tasks through agreements from landlords, apartment and hotel managers to engage in education and crime prevention strategies in cooperation with the Greeley Police Department in exchange for recognition of program participation and other marketing support through City media opportunities. In addition, particpants are provided timely information about police and/or code enforcement actions on their rental properties.
The program is voluntary and their is no cost, but participants are required to sign an annual agreement adhering to several criteria, including performing criminal background checks on potential tenants, and refusing to lease to those with a criminal history. Download a list of current participants, or to get involved, fill out an application and return to the Community Development Department at the address to the left.
