2018 G. Town Tours
The City of Greeley announces the 2018 line-up of free tours to acquaint residents and visitors with special aspects of the community that they might not otherwise know much about. City staff and volunteers will guide participants through various sites and share “inside” information to expand residents’ knowledge about and appreciation for Greeley’s many assets. Participants will travel between sites on City buses; the tours include some walking so comfortable shoes are recommended. The G.Town Tours are 3 hours in length and are free but RSVPs are required to reserve a seat on the bus.
The first tour of the year will take place on April 12th from 3 to 6 p.m. and is a “City Hall Crawl
. This tour will take participants through three facilities: the Greeley Police Department Headquarters, new Greeley Fire Station No. 1, the Rodarte Center, and a drive-by the Greeley-Evans Transit Facility.
Other tours include:
- Natural Places and Open Spaces – May 17 – 1 to 4 p.m.
- Greeley Creative District – June 15 – 9 a.m. to noon
- Conoce Greeley (bilingual tour) - July 14 – 9 a.m. to noon
- Art Around Tour – July 20 – 9 a.m. to noon
- Global Markets – August 10 – 1 to 4 p.m.
- Haunts and Underground Spaces – September 14 – 4 to 7 p.m.
The age of some of the buildings and the challenges of the terrain make some tours are more accessible than others. If you need accessible accommodations, please note so on your reservation so you can be matched with a tour that is best suited for your needs.
