New Names for Downtown City of Greeley Buildings
Greeley’s new City Center building, 1001 11th Avenue, will now be called City Center South.
Signs for the building’s new name are already in place. Not to be left out, the City Hall Annex and Focus Building, 1100 10th Street, will get renamed City Center North this month. Work is scheduled to start Friday day removing the old signs and installing the City Center North signs.
Although a small change, these new names represent a part of the city’s larger project to create a cohesive downtown government campus where residents can find and access government services and offices.
The soon-to-be-called City Center North houses the building inspection, building permits, code compliance, community development, community safety and fire prevention, construction services, economic health and housing, natural resources, and planning and zoning departments. City Center South contains Greeley’s IT Department, the Water and Sewer Department administration offices, and Greeley Municipal Courts.
