Showerhead Exchanges on August 12 and September 9

The next Greeley showerhead exchange will be on Saturday, August 12 from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. The exchange is held at the Farmers’ Market at the Union Pacific Depot at 902 7th Avenue in Downtown Greeley. A second event will be held on September 9 at the Farmers’ Market.

City of Greeley water customers can bring old showerheads to exchange and get new high-efficiency models in exchange. People should bring a Greeley Water bill with their water account number when exchanging their showerhead. There are many types of showerheads available, including handheld models. In addition, customers can choose a showerhead in either white or chrome to match their bathroom fixtures.

  • The new showerheads are EPA WaterSense labeled.  Products that have earned the WaterSense label have been independently certified to use at least 20 percent less water and perform as well or better than standard models.

  • Most people save about a gallon of water per minute or more with the new showerheads.

  • Inefficient showerheads not only waste water, they waste energy used to heat that water. But every time you take a shower with an efficient showerhead, you can save energy—equal to the amount of electricity it takes to light a 60-watt light bulb for 8 hours.
