We have a variety of programs and resources dedicated to improving Greeley, from improving our community’s image and entryways to offering incentives for home ownership. Read about our programs below, or contact us at 970-350-9774 for more information.
Greeley Home Ownership Incentive Program
The City of Greeley has established a pilot Home Ownership Program for Employees (G-HOPE) to promote more home ownership in Greeley’s Redevelopment District and around the University of Northern Colorado campus.
Through the program, down payment assistance is available to regular full-time employees of the major employers in this area: Greeley City Government, University of Northern Colorado, School District Six, and Banner Health/North Colorado Medical Center.
G Town Tours
We offer free bus tours to acquaint residents and visitors with interesting aspects of the city that they might not otherwise know much about. City staff act as tour guides and resources to deepen participants’ knowledge about and appreciation for Greeley’s many assets through bus tours that range from 30 minutes to 3 hours in length.
You can take a self-guided tour or explore other special tour topics by calling 350-9774.
Greeley's Creative District
This area represents the city’s highest concentration of micro-businesses, performance venues, cultural outlets, galleries, museums, entertainment, and mixed residential development.
Historic architecture blends with contemporary additions, while wall murals surprise visitors throughout the area, which is rich with public art.
Greeley's creative district is just one of 15 certified by the state of Colorado.

This District, in the heart of the community, is about a sense of place where quiet neighborhoods and quaint local shops merge with the energy of a major university.
It’s a place where education, creativity, diversity and entrepreneurship are not only envisioned, they are energized and alive.

8th Avenue Corridor Project
The 8th Avenue Corridor is a key entry corridor and connection between the UNC campus and downtown.
The 8th Avenue Corridor Project is designed to link Downtown and UNC destinations with a pedestrian-friendly landscaped corridor that offers easier access and comfort, softens the travel corridor experience, provides greater visual appeal and invitation to use this route to move between the campus and the central business district. In addition to these corridor improvements, the Greeley Art Commission has installed sculptural trees to add interest to the travel experience as a component of the City’s popular One Percent for Art program.
This is a five year project broken into phases based on funding. The first two phases commenced started at 16th Street and 8th Avenue and moving north are complete. Future phases will progress north at each intersection.
