One Quick Tip to Lower Your Sewer Bills

Dollar bills in drain.Don’t let your money go down the drain.

Did you know your monthly wastewater bill for the year is based on water use in January and February? Conservation during those months will lower your sewer charges all year long. The winter months are when the measuring takes place because that is when the highest percentage of water used is returned to the sewer system.

The best way to start to save water is to get an indoor audit now to find out where you can be more efficient and check for leaks. It is a free program for Greeley water customers. Most people would benefit from an audit, but if your home is more than 25 years old, you will find the audit more beneficial. Owners of rental houses and multifamily dwellings are encouraged to get audited properties audited as well.

You also get free stuff!  The auditors will provide new showerheads and will install them for you. These high efficiency showerheads have a strong spray and you won’t even notice that you are using about a gallon per minute less of water. Aerators will also be installed in bathroom and kitchen sinks to reduce water output when washing your hands or rinsing dishes.

Use our online form to sign up and one of our auditors will call you and make an appointment.  You may also call 970-336-4228 to sign up for an audit.
