For Immediate Release
For more information, media representatives should contact:
Paul Tucker, Water Transmission/Distribution and Wastewater Collection Superintendent
In order to repair a water line break, the Greeley Water Department closed 20th Street between 86th and 92nd avenues.
One of Greeley’s 24-inch water mains is leaking and crews must completely shut down that part of 20th Street to repair the water transmission line.
Repairs should take until Wednesday and the road will reopen after that.
Signs are in place marking a detour route on 18th Street Road.
These sorts of closures are necessary to ensure the integrity of the city’s water infrastructure and the safety of the workers performing the repairs.
