The City of Greeley Water and Sewer Department held a ground-breaking ceremony on Wednesday, January 24th at the Bellvue Water Treatment Plant.

The ceremony was held to commemorate construction of planned Bellvue Water Treatment Plant improvements. These improvements include all processes (raw and finished water piping, rapid mix, flocculation, sedimentation, filtration and disinfection) to treat 20 million gallons per day of potable water to replace existing filters built in 1946 and 1953.

The anticipated construction completion date is March of 2020.

The contractor hired for this project is Hydro Construction from Fort Collins. In attendance were members of the project team, which include City of Greeley staff, Water & Sewer Board members, Hydro Construction, HDR, the design engineer out of Denver and Vali Cooper and Associates, the Construction Manager of Highlands Ranch.
