Due to popular demand, Greeley’s Water Conservation toilet rebates are back.
Toilets that use 0.8 gallons per flush or less are eligible for rebates. If a Greeley resident purchased and installed one of these toilets in 2019, they can apply for a rebate at greeleygov.com/rebates or in person at the Greeley Water and Sewer Department, 1001 11th Ave. on the 2nd floor. Residents need only a receipt and a completed application. Residents can receive a $50 rebate per toilet; maximum of two per household.
Residents are also encouraged to recycle their old toilets. If properly disposed of, residents can receive an additional $25 recycling incentive. All non-ceramic parts must be removed from the toilet before being brought to The Grow Center at 1130 E. 8th St. A resident will receive a recycle voucher that must be submitted with the application to receive the incentive. The $25 recycling incentive must be done in conjunction with a toilet rebate. However, the recycling option is open to anyone wanting to get rid of an old toilet sustainably. When recycled, old toilets are ground up and added to road base; keeping them out of landfills
Toilets must be purchased between January 1, 2019, and December 31, 2019, and all applications must be submitted before January 15, 2020. Only City of Greeley water customers is eligible to participate. A complete list of program rules and application materials, are at greeleygov.com/rebates. Residents can call 970-350-9874 for more information.
Greeley’s Water Conservation offers other rebate programs for irrigation equipment such as smart controllers, pressure reducing valves, and rotary sprinkler head nozzles. Rebates are also available for commercial water customers as well.
