Workforce Challenges Revealed During Mid-Year Business Check-Ins

During the month of May, our office engaged with a number of Greeley businesses within key industry sectors for informal mid-year check-ins. In addition to hearing how our wonderful businesses are doing, the purpose of the outreach was to determine business needs and any additional resources, information or support that would be helpful going into the second half of the year.

Employment Services of WeldAfter several engagements, the most common challenge currently faced by many of our businesses seems to be difficulties in finding workforce. We understand how frustrating this particular challenge can be and fortunately, Greeley is home to the Employment Services of Weld County!

Employment Services of Weld County (ESWC) is a comprehensive workforce center which connects resources for employment, education, and training services at the local, state, and national level. ESWC prides itself in offering self-service resources, promotion of personal & career development, furnishing access to internet tools for employment & training opportunities, and providing information about both local and regional employers, as well as other labor markets.

They also strive to assist those local and regional employers with applicant referrals and other employer-specific services. We encourage all businesses actively searching for talent to visit ESWC’s website to speak with a Business Services Specialist today.
