Come tour Fire Station 5 and learn more about the services provided by the Greeley Fire Department! Check out engine and ladder trucks as well other rigs. Activities include an inflatable obstacle course, food trucks, a hose station, a dummy drag, music, and much more!
The open house will take place on Saturday, October 15 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Fire Station 5, 4701 W 24th Street. Activities include:
The Greeley Fire Department will be visiting Greeley-Evans School District 6 second-grade classes from October 3 through October 14 as an opportunity to educate students on fire safety.
The Greeley Fire Department will be holding a competition for students 6-9 years old where they can design a helmet shield with their creative ideas. The design can be submitted via their teacher or at the Fire Department Open House on October 15. After receiving all submissions, the fire department will judge the pieces of art and will determine a winner. The winning shield design will be printed on a leather helmet shield and displayed at Fire Station 1.
During Fire prevention week the fire stations will be open for visits and tours. Tours are best scheduled through a non-emergency service request, which is available here. Available times will be 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Pending units will not be available due to active calls.
