Greeley Rising

COVID-Associated American Rescue Plan

The City of Greeley received $1,481,453 in grant funds from the COVID-Associated American Rescue Plan (ARP). The ARP provided $5 billion, distributed to 651 states and cities across the nation, to assist individuals or households who are homeless, at risk of homelessness, and other vulnerable populations, by providing housing, rental assistance, supportive services, and non-congregate shelter, to reduce homelessness and increase housing stability across the country.

In coming months, the City (through the Greeley Urban Renewal Authority) will begin to formulate its required Allocation Plan for submittal to the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). In the Allocation Plan, the City will identify activities to utilize the HOME-ARP funds, which must fall into one of the four eligible categories:

  • Production or Preservation of Affordable Housing
  • Tenant-Based Rental Assistance (TBRA); Supportive Services
  • Homeless Prevention Services, and Housing Counseling
  • Purchase and Development of Non-Congregate Shelter

Opportunities for public comment on the use of funds will be available.
