Spring arrived and it’s time to clean out the basement, garage, yard, and more. Greeley residents get a special chance to dispose of unwanted items 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, April 23, and Saturday, April 24, with the 46th Annual Spring Clean-Up Weekend.

City of Greeley officials partnered with Xcel Energy Partners in Energy to provide a free online workshop focused on explaining renewable energy opportunities to residents. The webinar begins at 6 p.m., April 21.

The City of Greeley will move forward with securing water for future generations through the Terry Ranch Aquifer Storage and Recovery Project. A referendum petition seeking to overturn Greeley City Council’s March 2 unanimous decision to close on the project failed to secure enough signatures Thursday. Greeley officials will move forward to close on the purchase of Terry Ranch, and its 1.2 million acre-feet of water and storage which will supplement Greeley’s existing robust portfolio.
