Recovery CO Workforce Training Program

May 3, 2017, 16:34 PM by Natalie Stevens
Grants will be awarded to businesses to provide workers, who reside in disaster-declared counties (including Weld), an opportunity to attend customized workforce training classes to enhance skills. The program is available to existing employers affected (directly or very indirectly) by the flood and is focused on training low-moderate income individuals.

Please note that eligible "indirect impact" could include production disruptions because employees were not able to get to work due to road closures, etc., which we believe has been the primary issue with Weld employers.

The maximum grant award for eligible company is $75,000, but companies may receive up to 3 awards ($225,000), based upon funding availability. Working with Aims Community College, who is administering the program in Weld, we'll be contacting key employers throughout the county to make sure they're aware of this training opportunity and ask you to also help spread the word by letting us know of companies you believe could benefit from this program.
