Join Greeley's Citizen Transportation Advisory Board

Greeley's growth demands an expansion of transportation options within the city, region, and state. This includes streets, highways, sidewalks, bicycle lanes, public transit. With all those projects pushing ahead, it's an exciting time to be a part of Greeley's Citizen Transportation Advisory Board.

Poudre Express BusThis board meets monthly to study and make recommendations regarding Greeley's transportation services, traffic, and transportation-related activities.

The board's recent accomplishments include creating the Poudre Express, a regional bus service between Fort Collins, Windsor, and Greeley. Another transit-related success is developing more efficient bus routes in Greeley and Evans. The group also worked on adding 26 miles of bike lanes and trails since 2015.

In 2021, the Citizen Transportation Advisory Board will investigate the pandemic's impact on transportation funding due to decreased sales tax. The team is also focused on renewing Keep Greeley Moving (KGM) funding. KGM is a 0.65 percent sales tax for street improvements, road capacity projects, and concrete repair. Another project on the board's plate is to gather public input on street and sidewalk maintenance and improvements.

Transportation planning is more than just a local endeavor. The city is working on its own transportation master plan and coordinating with the North Front Range Metropolitan Planning Organization in the Regional Transportation Plan. The group also coordinates with the Colorado Department of Transportation on highway improvements and expanding statewide passenger rail and bus routes.
