Greeley’s Union Colony Civic Center Announces 2024-2025 Season, Ticket Sales

GREELEY, Colo. — The Union Colony Civic Center (UCCC) announced the lineup for its fall 2024-spring 2025 season, with music, comedy, Broadway shows and entertainment across genres.  

 

Tickets on-sale Friday, June 7 at UCStars.com and through the UCCC box office, 701 10th Avenue, by calling (970) 356-5000. 

 

Coming to the UCCC Fall 2024 – Spring 2025 

With a full season of shows offered Fall through Spring, the UCCC will bring a wide selection of entertainment to audiences, from comedy and Broadway shows to Grammy winning artists, holiday concerts and family shows.  

 

Here’s a look at who’s coming to the UCCC this season! 

 

Rick Springfield - tickets on sale now 

Friday, August 30, 7:30 p.m. | $58-$98 

Over the past four decades, Rick Springfield is best known for creating some of the finest power-pop hits of the ’80s as a Grammy-winning singer, songwriter, and musician – selling 25 million albums and scoring 17 U.S. Top 40 hits, including “Jessie’s Girl,” “Don’t Talk to Strangers,” “An Affair of the Heart,” “I’ve Done Everything for You,” “Love Somebody,” and “Human Touch.” 

 

Friday, September 13, 7:30 p.m. | $38-$78 

Get ready for the razor-sharp wit and fearless comedy of Leslie Jones – a three-time Primetime Emmy Award nominee as well as a Writer’s Guild Award and NAACP Award nominee for her work on “Saturday Night Live.” Honored as one of Time Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People, Jones recently wrapped production on season two of the HBO Max series “Our Flag Means Death.” In 2023, Jones kicked off a new era of “The Daily Show” as the program's first guest host. She starred opposite Eddie Murphy in “Coming 2 America," for which she won an MTV Movie Award and was nominated for a People’s Choice Award.

Grammy-award winner Ashley McBryde cut her teeth playing country songs in biker bars – and it shows. McBryde has gained critical acclaim as an authentic and unflinching voice as she’s earned six Grammy nominations and garnered honors from the Country Music Association and Academy of Country Music. McBryde’s latest album, “The Devil I Know,” is available now, featuring chart-climbing lead single “Light on in The Kitchen.” McBryde is currently playing shows through Summer 2024 with The Devil I Know Tour Presented by Ariat.

Sugar Skull is coming back to the UCCC! This Día de Muertos Musical Adventure is a touring bilingual/bicultural musical for young audiences and families that uses traditional regional music and dance from Mexico to tell the story of twelve-year-old Vita Flores. Vita thinks her family has gone loco planning a celebration for deceased loved ones. Why throw a party for the dead? But when a spirited candy skeleton suddenly springs to life, Vita finds herself on a magical, musical journey to unravel the true meaning of Día de Muertos. Don’t miss it!   

 

Sunday, October 13, 7:30 p.m. | $43-$73 

After 50 years and more than 50 million records sold, Jim Croce’s legacy as an iconic singer/songwriter is firmly cemented. A.J. Croce, a Billboard charting singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and performer brings Jim’s classic songs to the Union Colony Civic Center stage with his “Croce Plays Croce Anniversary Tour.” After a seven-year sold-out tour celebrating his father’s music, A.J. returns this year in celebration of two of Jim Croce’s legendary albums, 1973’s “Life and Times,” and his final release, “I Got a Name,” in addition to songs from “You Don’t Mess Around with Jim.” Don’t miss this opportunity to hear Croce Play Croce.

Even in our futuristic age of AI chatbots and virtual realities, nothing compares with the thrill of hearing classic genres of music performed live by a group of exceptional singers and musicians who’ve mastered the ability to move an audience. Scott Bradlee’s Postmodern Jukebox “Life in the Past Lane World Tour” blends modern-day earworms and iconic pop hits with the original styles that put American popular music on the map: ragtime, swing, big band, country/western, doo-wop and soul. Postmodern Jukebox is equal parts time-traveling musical variety show and career-launching talent platform, featuring a cast of performers from their wildly popular YouTube.

In “Disney Jr. Live On Tour: Let’s Play,” presented by Walmart, Mickey is getting ready for the biggest playdate ever at the Clubhouse with all his favorite pals – including Minnie and Goofy, the Puppy Dog Pals, Ginny and Bitsy from “SuperKitties” and Ariel from “Disney Jr.’s Ariel” – but mysterious weather keeps interrupting the fun. Can Team Spidey from “Marvel’s Spidey and his Amazing Friends” find out who is behind this and help save the playdate?

The holiday tradition continues! “Mannheim Steamroller Christmas” by Chip Davis has been America’s favorite holiday tradition for more than 35 years. Grammy Award-winner Chip Davis has created a show that features Mannheim Steamroller Christmas classics in the distinctive Mannheim sound. The program includes 15 musicians playing more than 20 instruments against a backdrop of dazzling multimedia effects – capturing the spirit of the season in an immersive yet intimate setting.

Direct from Broadway, “Mean Girls” is the hilarious hit musical from book writer Tina Fey (“30 Rock”), composer Jeff Richmond (“Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt”), lyricist Nell Benjamin (Legally Blonde) and original director and choreographer Casey Nicholaw (The Book of Mormon). The story of a naïve newbie who falls prey to a trio of lionized frenemies, “Mean Girls” “delivers with immense energy, a wicked sense of humor and joyful inside-jokery.” USA Today says, “We’ll let you in on a little secret, because we’re such good friends: Get your tickets now!”

R.E.S.P.E.C.T is an electrifying tribute celebrating the music of the legendary Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin. This concert experience takes audiences on a journey of love, tragedy, courage, and triumph. Starring a live band and supreme vocalists, come experience a night of music by one of the greatest artists of all time. The concert features all your favorite hits in one evening, including "Natural Woman,” “Think,” “I Knew You Were Waiting for Me,” “Chain of Fools,” “Respect,” and many more. You’ll be out of your seat and dancing in the aisles as you lose yourself in the music that inspired a generation.  

 

The UCCC, located at 701 10th Avenue, is Northern Colorado's premier performing arts venue, owned and operated by the City of Greeley. Situated downtown, with easy access to parking and dining options, the venue offers seating for more than 1,600 in the Monfort Concert Hall and more than 200 seats in its Hensel Phelps Theatre. With more than 100 events held per year, the UCCC offers various Broadway musicals, concerts, comedy shows, and many local dance and school performances. New this year: Expanded concessions that can be taken into the concert hall.
