Annual Fishing Derby Returns to Sanborn Park June 4
Participate in the City of Greeley’s Annual Fishing Derby from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., Saturday, June 4 at Sanborn Park, 2032 28th Ave. This annual family-friendly event is free to attend. Anglers ranging from age 5 and older can surround the lake at Sanborn Park to fish.
Prizes
Prizes will be given away every half hour throughout the morning. Be sure to register for giveaways beginning at 7:30 a.m. at the Greeley Recreation tent located by the playground. Thanks in part to the event sponsor EnviroTech for supporting the fishing derby.
Fishing Licenses
Fishing licenses are not necessary to participate, the first weekend in June is a free fishing weekend in Colorado. The Colorado Division of Wildlife will stock the lake with fresh trout in advance of the derby. There will be ample fishing opportunities for everyone. Bring a pole and tackle, find the perfect fishing hole, and compete to catch the biggest fish!
