Greeley households with an income of up to 60% of the state median income level may qualify to receive financial assistance for water services through the Low-Income Household Water Assistance Program.

The application period for the program is open Nov. 1, 2022, through April 30, 2023. Funds are limited and will be distributed on a first-come-first-served basis.

Details about the application process are available on the city's utility billing website. To qualify, households must:

• Complete the addendum within the Low-Income Energy Assistance Program application during the application period
• Earn a maximum household income that does not exceed 60% of the state median income level
• Pay home water and wastewater costs directly to Greeley Water
• Have services disconnected, be at risk of disconnection, or have a past-due amount on their bill
• For households with water included in rent, rent must be past due or facing eviction
• Provide proof of lawful presence in the U.S.

The Low-Income Household Water Assistance Program is a new emergency program offered through the American Rescue Plan Act in response to needs caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The purpose of the program is to provide support to households whose services have been disconnected due to non-payment or have a past-due amount for their drinking water/wastewater services.
