Call for Nominations for 2024 Historic Preservation Month Awards
GREELEY, Colo. — The Greeley Historic Preservation Commission invites the public to nominate people or projects for awards during Historic Preservation Month. The awards honor efforts to protect Greeley’s history. The Commission recognizes individuals, organizations and design professionals who have significantly furthered preservation efforts and achievements in Greeley.
To nominate a person or project, request a form by calling 970-350-9222 or by emailing the Historic Preservation Office at hpo@greeleygov.com.
Submit nominations to the Historic Preservation Office either by email or mail at 1100 10th Street, Greeley. Nominations are due by noon on Friday, April 5.
Following voting, the awards will be announced at a special event during Historic Preservation Month. Join us on May 8 at 5:30 p.m. at the Syntax Distillery, inside the Greeley Elevator Building at 700 6th Street. It's free and open to everyone.
Previous Winners
The Commission last gave these awards in 2019. Allnutt Funeral Services and Bill and Rick Allnutt won for stewardship of the Allnutt Building. Cardiac Investments and Linde Thompson were recognized for rehabilitation of the Masonic Temple Building, as were Riley and Duston Baker and the Rainbow Motel LLC for rehabilitation of the Rainbow Motel building.
