Celebrate Arbor Day at Glenmere Park on Saturday
Join the City of Greeley’s tree-planting ceremony with your family and friends to commemorate the day.
The event is free and open to the public from 9-10 a.m. Saturday, April 29, at Glenmere Park—located southwest of the 14th Avenue and Glenmere Boulevard intersection. During the celebration, city staff and attendees will plant five trees and reveal a new online dashboard that will provide information on the health of trees in the city.
“Trees are assets to a community when properly planted and maintained,” said Forestry Manager Shiloh Hatcher. “They help improve the visual appeal of a neighborhood, increase property values, reduce home cooling costs, remove air pollutants, and provide wildlife habitat, among many other benefits.”
