Changes to City Council Meeting Times
At the March 3 Greeley city council meeting, the council voted in favor of changing the start times of all council meetings, including regular city council meetings and worksessions, to 6 p.m. This change will go into effect with the council’s March 24 worksession. Regular council meetings are held on the first and third Tuesdays of the month and include an opportunity for public input, while worksessions are held on the second and fourth Tuesdays, and public input is generally not taken at these meetings. Council meetings and worksessions are open to the public and are held in council chambers at City Center South, 1001 11th Ave.
This change will provide consistency for the public, given that regular meetings had been starting at 6:30 p.m. while worksessions began at 5 p.m. It will also increase the ability for public participation in council’s meetings and will help to accommodate individual council schedules better.
