City Council Announces Selection of Sole City Manager Finalist
Greeley City Council announces the unanimous selection of Raymond C. Lee III as the sole finalist for Greeley’s next city manager.
“City council thanks the community for attending the meet and greet last week and providing feedback to council,” said Mayor John Gates. “That input, along with the interviews and community feedback, helped councilmembers make an informed selection.”
The search process yielded a strong pool of semi-finalists, each with well-honed skills. Lee surfaced as the council’s top candidate based on his background and breadth of experience. Lee’s interim-leadership since August, combined with his vision for our community, made him stand out.
Council is in agreement, Mr. Lee has the experience, dedication, understanding, and foresight to best serve our community and our organization,” Gates said. “We are eager to bring Mr. Lee on in a permanent role so he can further execute his vision and strategic direction of Greeley.”
Greeley’s city council entered into the contract negotiation stage to finalize the terms of Lee’s appointment. At the end of that process, council will share further information, including their next steps and timelines.
