City of Greeley Partners with Local Businesses to Offer Glass Recycling

City-Logo-for-News-Releases

Starting today, Greeley community members can recycle glass bottles, jars, and glasses for free at two drop-off locations in the area.

This new partnership between the City of Greeley, Owens-Illinois, Crabtree Brewing Company, and Andersen’s Sale & Salvage allows community members to drop off glass recycling at:

  • Andersen’s Sale & Salvage — 1490 E. 8th St., Greeley, during business hours
  • Crabtree Brewing Company — 2961 29th St., Greeley, during daylight hours

Residents can go to either location, find the blue recycling containers, and deposit:

  • Beer, wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic glass bottles
  • Food glass jars
  • Drinking glasses

Residents should rinse the glass and remove labels and any non-glass parts or materials before depositing their recycling.

These glass recycling drop-offs do not accept:

  • Windows
  • Solar panels
  • Heat resistant glass
  • Computer and TV screens
  • Light bulbs
  • Mirrors
  • Ceramics

“We’re excited about this new opportunity and so grateful to our partners for making this possible,” said Deputy Public Work Director Will Jones.
